Giuseppe di Comacchio (FE)<br \/><strong>INTERVENTION LOCATION<\/strong>: Padua<br \/><strong>SERVICES RENDERED<\/strong>: executive project<br \/><strong>BEGINNING\/END OF WORKS<\/strong>: 2008<br \/><strong>CONSTRUCTION COMPANY<\/strong>: Eurocostruzioni S.p.a, Via Uruguay, 20 &#8211; Padua<\/p>\n<p>[\/et_pb_text][et_pb_text admin_label=&#8221;PROJECT DESCRIPTION&#8221; _builder_version=&#8221;4.10.7&#8243; _module_preset=&#8221;default&#8221; hover_enabled=&#8221;0&#8243; global_colors_info=&#8221;{}&#8221; sticky_enabled=&#8221;0&#8243;]<\/p>\n<p><strong>PROJECT DESCRIPTION<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>This description concerns the design of a bulkhead of micropiles and passive tie-rods of provisional nature executed to support the construction of an excavation in the renovation of a residential complex in Via Locatelli, Padua.<br \/>The geometric configuration of the bulkhead of micropiles is as follows:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Depth from ground level: 8.00 m<\/li>\n<li>Real length of the bulkhead: 8.00 m<\/li>\n<li>Diameter made micropiles: 200 mm<\/li>\n<li>Reinforcement micropiles: \u00f8114 sp. 8 mm<\/li>\n<li>Micropiles pitch: pitch 330 mm<\/li>\n<li>Passive tie-rods: micropiles dia 200 arm \u00f888.9 sp. 9 mm<\/li>\n<li>Position of passive tie-rods: at 1.50 from the ground level<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>The existing building is located with its foundation at 50 cm from the bulkhead, at a depth of m. 1.0 and discharges, for a length of m. 1.0 a pressure equal to 120 kPa. In order to carry out this computational analysis taking into proper account the pre-existence of the building, the finite element calculation program Plaxis was used in version: Version 8.6; Update pack: (Build 608); Options: Full package.<\/p>\n<p>The soil was modeled considering a hardening behavior of the same, i.e. implementing a HS model in Plaxis.<br \/>The substantially sandy soil allowed to find all the model parameters using the CPT tests provided and making use of a modeling analysis performed with a program designed by Teleios that takes into account the most recent bibliography on the subject.<\/p>\n<p>In performing the calculation, the phases of construction of the bulkhead, excavation, laying of the passive tie-rod and the presence of the load behind were correctly considered, taking care to insert this load as pressure on the ground but not as displacements because these displacements are considered already stabilized (reset displacement to zero option). We also considered the lowering of the water table and calculated the safety coefficient of the bulkhead which was equal to 1.41.<\/p>\n<p>The following are the most significant results in terms of displacements and stresses on the ground; displacements and stresses on the bulkhead.<\/p>\n<p>The study and calculation of the configurations of the bulkhead runs through the operational and theoretical phases of calculating the excavation. Per eseguire tale analisi di calcolo tenendo in corretto conto la preesistenza dell\u2019edificio, si \u00e8 usato il programma di calcolo ad elementi finiti Plaxis nella versione: Version 8.6; Update pack: (Build 608); Options: Full package.<br \/>Il terreno \u00e8 stato modellato considerando un comportamento hardening della stesso, ovvero implementando un modello HS in Plaxis.<br \/>Il terreno sostanzialmente sabbioso ha permesso di trovare tutti i parametri del modello facendo utilizzo delle prove CPT fornite e avvalendosi di un\u2019analisi di modellazione eseguita con un programma studiato da Teleios che tiene conto della pi\u00f9 recente bibliografia in materia.<br \/>Nell\u2019eseguire il calcolo son state correttamente considerate le fasi di costruzione della paratia, di scavo, di posa in opera del tirante passivo e la presenza del carico retrostante avendo l\u2019accortezza di inserire tale carico come pressione gravante sul terreno ma non come spostamenti perch\u00e9 tali spostamenti si considerano gi\u00e0 stabilizzati (opzione reset displacement to zero). Si \u00e8 inoltre considerato l\u2019abbassamento della falda e calcolato il coefficiente di sicurezza della paratia che \u00e8 risultato pari a 1.41.<\/p><p>Di seguito si riportano i risultati pi\u00f9 significativi in termini di spostamenti e stress del terreno; spostamenti e sollecitazioni sulla paratia.<\/p><p>Lo studio ed il calcolo delle configurazioni della paratia percorre le fasi operative e teoriche di calcolo dello scavo.
