Lighthouse foundation project<\/strong><br \/>The layout of the foundation of the lighthouse, provided by its designer, consists of 32 beaten piles, divided into groups of 8, arranged symmetrically with respect to the axes.<\/p>\n<p>[\/et_pb_text][et_pb_image src=&#8221;https:\/\/teleios-ing.it\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/07\/strutture-turistiche-belize-progettazione-fondazione-palo.jpg&#8221; title_text=&#8221;strutture-turistiche-belize-progettazione-fondazione-palo&#8221; align=&#8221;center&#8221; _builder_version=&#8221;4.9.11&#8243; _module_preset=&#8221;default&#8221; global_colors_info=&#8221;{}&#8221;][\/et_pb_image][et_pb_text _builder_version=&#8221;4.10.7&#8243; _module_preset=&#8221;default&#8221; hover_enabled=&#8221;0&#8243; global_colors_info=&#8221;{}&#8221; sticky_enabled=&#8221;0&#8243;]<\/p>\n<p>A study has been carried out with the Repute program of the Geocentrix company, software that allows to take into account the real stratigraphy of the intervention site, the non-linear behavior of the ground, avoiding stress concentrations in the most centrifugal piles of the group. This program also allows to take into account phenomena, such as shadowing, typical of the interaction between the piles of the group. This not only produces greater accuracy, but also allows the effects of soil-structure interaction to be considered.<br \/>The Repute software is a BEM-type calculation code that provides for the discretization only of the interface (hence their name) between piles and soil.<br \/>The nonlinear solution allows to:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Obtain the most realistic constitutive model of the soil;<\/li>\n<li>Consider the plasticization of the single piles of the group: when the most loaded one has reached its maximum axial load, it is no longer able to increase its load and therefore the stresses are redistributed to the other piles of the group, as can be expected in reality;<\/li>\n<li>Getting the maximum load on the most loaded pile more accurate.<br \/>The piles in Repute were modeled as equivalent circular beaten piles.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>For the pile connection slab, an equivalent weight slab was considered because it is not possible to define a geometry as provided by the designers.<\/p>\n<p>[\/et_pb_text][et_pb_blurb image=&#8221;https:\/\/teleios-ing.it\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/07\/strutture-turistiche-belize-modello-in-repute.jpg&#8221; admin_label=&#8221;Modello in Repute&#8221; _builder_version=&#8221;4.9.11&#8243; _module_preset=&#8221;default&#8221; body_font=&#8221;|600|||||||&#8221; body_text_align=&#8221;center&#8221; animation=&#8221;off&#8221; global_colors_info=&#8221;{}&#8221;]Modello in Repute<br \/>\n[\/et_pb_blurb][et_pb_text _builder_version=&#8221;4.10.7&#8243; _module_preset=&#8221;default&#8221; hover_enabled=&#8221;0&#8243; global_colors_info=&#8221;{}&#8221; sticky_enabled=&#8221;0&#8243;]<\/p>\n<p>The foundation of the lighthouse initially subjected only to a centered load of vertical compression (the only input received in this sense by the designers of the lighthouse) generates an axial load on the piles not uniformly distributed but variable due to the effects of interaction between them. This fact cannot be represented unless a geotechnical calculation method is used, i.e. one that takes into account the mechanical properties of the soil, such as the one presented here.<\/p>\n<p>The vertical distribution of the axial load acting on the piles is shown as.<\/p>\n<p>[\/et_pb_text][et_pb_blurb image=&#8221;https:\/\/teleios-ing.it\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/07\/strutture-turistiche-belize-calcolo1.jpg&#8221; admin_label=&#8221;Massime azioni agenti nei pali di un quarto della Fondazione&#8221; _builder_version=&#8221;4.10.7&#8243; _module_preset=&#8221;default&#8221; body_font=&#8221;|600|||||||&#8221; body_text_align=&#8221;center&#8221; animation=&#8221;off&#8221; hover_enabled=&#8221;0&#8243; global_colors_info=&#8221;{}&#8221; sticky_enabled=&#8221;0&#8243;]<\/p>\n<p>Maximum actions acting in the piles of a quarter of the Foundation<\/p>\n<p>[\/et_pb_blurb][et_pb_text _builder_version=&#8221;4.10.7&#8243; _module_preset=&#8221;default&#8221; hover_enabled=&#8221;0&#8243; global_colors_info=&#8221;{}&#8221; sticky_enabled=&#8221;0&#8243;]<\/p>\n<p>The load-bearing capacity of the piles as they vary in length was evaluated for the lighthouse area (geotechnical model A).<br \/>This is because a stiff substrate, at depths from ground level varying between 10.0m and 17.0m, is found to prevent pile driving.<\/p>\n<p>[\/et_pb_text][et_pb_image src=&#8221;https:\/\/teleios-ing.it\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/07\/strutture-turistiche-belize-cumulated-shaft-capacity.jpg&#8221; title_text=&#8221;strutture-turistiche-belize-cumulated-shaft-capacity&#8221; align=&#8221;center&#8221; _builder_version=&#8221;4.9.11&#8243; _module_preset=&#8221;default&#8221; locked=&#8221;off&#8221; global_colors_info=&#8221;{}&#8221;][\/et_pb_image][et_pb_text _builder_version=&#8221;4.10.7&#8243; _module_preset=&#8221;default&#8221; hover_enabled=&#8221;0&#8243; global_colors_info=&#8221;{}&#8221; sticky_enabled=&#8221;0&#8243;]<\/p>\n<p>The 12.0m long pile is almost totally exploited only for the vertical loads transmitted by the lighthouse.<br \/>The maximum bending moment borne by the pile group was then researched, obtaining a value of 1491 kNm. This is provided that attention is paid to the layout of the foundation.<br \/>If the foundation is built where it is only possible to place piles of the minimum length (12.0m), the resistance of the foundation must be increased by providing a greater number of piles.<br \/>A possible solution involving additional piles is shown in the figure. Progetto fondazione faro<\/strong><br \/>Il layout della fondazione del faro, fornita dal relativo progettista, risulta costituita da 32 pali battuti, divisi in gruppi da 8, disposti simmetricamente rispetto agli assi.<\/p><p>[\/et_pb_text][et_pb_image src=\"https:\/\/teleios-ing.it\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/07\/strutture-turistiche-belize-progettazione-fondazione-palo.jpg\" title_text=\"strutture-turistiche-belize-progettazione-fondazione-palo\" align=\"center\" _builder_version=\"4.9.11\" _module_preset=\"default\" global_colors_info=\"{}\"][\/et_pb_image][et_pb_text _builder_version=\"4.9.9\" _module_preset=\"default\" global_colors_info=\"{}\"]<\/p><p>\u00c8 stato eseguito uno studio con il <strong>programma Repute<\/strong> della societ\u00e0 Geocentrix, software che permette di tenere conto della reale stratigrafia del sito di intervento, del comportamento <strong>non lineare del terreno<\/strong>, evitano le concentrazioni di sollecitazione nei pali pi\u00f9 centrifugati del gruppo. Tale programma consente inoltre di tenere in considerazione fenomeni, quali lo <strong>shadowing<\/strong>, propri dell\u2019interazione tra i pali del gruppo. Ci\u00f2 non solo produce una maggiore accuratezza ma consente di considerare anche gli effetti di interazione terreno \u2013 struttura.<br \/>Il software Repute \u00e8 un codice di calcolo di tipo BEM che prevede la discretizzazione solo dell\u2019interfaccia (da qui il loro nome) tra pali e terreno.<br \/>La soluzione non lineare permette di:<\/p><ul><li>Ottenere il modello costitutivo del terreno pi\u00f9 attinente alla realt\u00e0;<\/li><li>Considerare la <strong>plasticizzazione<\/strong> dei singoli pali del gruppo: quando il pi\u00f9 caricato ha raggiunto la sua massima portata assiale non \u00e8 pi\u00f9 in grado di aumentare il proprio carico e dunque le sollecitazioni si ridistribuiscono agli altri pali del gruppo, cos\u00ec com\u2019\u00e8 lecito attendersi nella realt\u00e0;<\/li><li>Ottenere il carico massimo sul palo pi\u00f9 caricato pi\u00f9 preciso.<\/li><\/ul><p>I pali in Repute sono state modellati come pali battuti circolari equivalenti.<br \/>Per la platea di collegamento dei pali \u00e8 stata considerata una platea di peso equivalente perch\u00e9 non \u00e8 possibile definire una geometria come quella fornita dai progettisti.<\/p><p>[\/et_pb_text][et_pb_blurb image=\"https:\/\/teleios-ing.it\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/07\/strutture-turistiche-belize-modello-in-repute.jpg\" admin_label=\"Modello in Repute\" _builder_version=\"4.9.11\" _module_preset=\"default\" body_font=\"|600|||||||\" body_text_align=\"center\" animation=\"off\" global_colors_info=\"{}\" title_text=\"strutture-turistiche-belize-modello-in-repute\"]<\/p><p>Modello in Repute<\/p><p>[\/et_pb_blurb][et_pb_text _builder_version=\"4.9.9\" _module_preset=\"default\" global_colors_info=\"{}\"]<\/p><p>La fondazione del faro assoggettata inizialmente soltanto ad un carico centrato di compressione verticale (l\u2019unico input ricevuto in tal senso dai progettisti del faro) genera un carico assiale sui pali non uniformemente distribuito ma variabile a causa degli effetti di interazione tra gli stessi. Ci\u00f2 purch\u00e9 si ponga attenzione al layout della fondazione.<br \/>Se questa fosse infatti realizzata dov\u2019\u00e8 possibile porre in opera pali solo della lunghezza minima (12.0m) si dovr\u00e0 aumentata la resistenza della fondazione prevedendo un numero maggiore di pali.<br \/>Una possibile soluzione che prevede pali supplementari \u00e8 riportata in figura.
